Every cloud-based interaction has a physical and human cost: information leaves the device, servers process it elsewhere, and infrastructure consumes energy to keep the system available.
People use AI to discuss health, school, work, finances, ideas and personal decisions. These requests can contain a detailed map of someone’s life. With conventional cloud AI, that context must travel beyond the user’s device before a response can exist.
AI services depend on data centres, specialised hardware, cooling systems, electricity and constant data transfer. At global scale, even apparently small interactions accumulate into significant infrastructure demand.
Cloud-first tools leave users dependent on external servers, provider policies, recurring access and network availability. The intelligence feels personal, but the control remains elsewhere.
WHY GREEN
Artificial intelligence is not weightless. Every remote request depends on physical infrastructure: data centres, specialised processors, cooling systems, electricity and networks moving information around the world.
GreenTrust takes a different starting point. When a task can run on hardware that already exists in front of the user, sending it to distant infrastructure should not be the automatic choice.
Local AI is not impact-free. Nothing computational is. Our goal is simpler and more accountable: reduce unnecessary cloud dependence, minimise unnecessary data movement and make computing power proportional to the task.
That is the “Green” in GreenTrust: not a marketing label, but a principle for how intelligence should be designed.

GreenTrust is designed around a local-first principle: when capable hardware is already in front of the user, more of the work should happen there.
Keeping processing local can protect sensitive information, give users greater independence and reduce the need to route every interaction through remote infrastructure. It does not make computing impact-free. It creates a more transparent and accountable foundation for using AI.
